The 8 things I learned in 2017

By the grace of Almighty Allah, 2017 has been fantabulous year in terms of learning, experience and exposure. It is always fine to appraise and evaluate what we gained, what went wrong and how we could find better ways to make things happen. In this blog post, I will share my learning of 2017.

  1. Focus is the game-changer

We focused on few things in 2017 and results are phenomenal. Whatever you focus on, expands.  We de-cluttered our business operations and had laser-sharp focus on few things, we got positive results. The 80/20 principle of Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto holds true in every sphere of life. Focus on 20% vital things; you will get 80% results. Our focus in 2017 was on team building, new product development and brutal execution. I suggest all my friends and fans to develop F.O.C.U.S (Follow One Course Until Success). A few years back, Yours Truly was under-dog of corporate training industry and today I am among the most sought-after trainers. Focus played a critical role.

  1. Up gradation of skills

Reaching at top is easy, staying at top needs skills and ingenuity and constant vigilance. You have to continuously improvise and upgrade your skill-set, mindset and hearset to stay in the game. I read more than 30 books and watched 100s of videos at YouTube to upgrade my knowledge. Without up gradation, giants like Nokia, BlackBerry and Kodak are history. Life is brutal. You will be out of game the moment you took your position for granted.

  1. It is blessing in disguise when some people leave you

You can recognize a snake or scorpion at first sight and you can adopt fight or flight strategy. Problem is with humans. You can’t decipher who is snake and who is scorpion. I was carrying some people in my life that I thought were diamonds and trust worthy. The moment they left me showed their true colors. They proved how shallow they were. It was blessing in disguise they left me. Life is peaceful without their daily drama.

  1. All battles are not worth picking

There came many instances in 2017 where people tried to backstab me. I could smash them easily but they were not worth fighting for. My learning is: Never pick fight with people who have nothing to lose; who have lot of spare time; who have no lofty goals; who are shallow to the core. They will bring you to their level and will beat you with their shallowness. Ignoring them is the best revenge and let them calculate how much you earn and let them follow your traveling schedule.

  1. Perfection is the enemy of progress

There will never be perfect conditions to take any initiative. Roll up your sleeves and get into the mud, become dirty, learn, unlearn, relearn and improve every day, every week, every month. There is no logic to wait for ideal team, ideal resources and perfect conditions. Conceive. Plan. Launch. Execute. Evaluate. Learn. Improve and move forward. You will find like-minded people down the road; your learning curve will increase with passage of time.

  1. You grow only when your team grows

In 2017, we focused on the capacity building of our team. We inspired and motivated them to earn more money for themselves and for their families. There is no glory in staying hand to mouth. There is no nobility in borrowing money from others. Stretch yourself. Dismantle the comfort traps. Earn as much as you can.

  1. Satisfied customer is your biggest marketing tool

Satisfaction and delightful experience of customers is the biggest marketing tool. We tried our best to not only give value for money to customers but we made it habit to go extra mile with them. Result is repeat business and increasing word of mouth. We take customers as blessings of Allah and representative of Raaziq.

  1. Pakistanis are honest people

This may be surprising for many but I learned it that we as a nation have high moral values. I provide Money Back Guarantee on every product. If customers are not satisfied, we refund their money immediately. Here are the results.

  • Sales Trainings: No company claimed refund
  • Guerrilla CV: Out of thousands of cases, hardly 15-20 people claimed refund
  • How to Earn Money Online: Out of around 1200 students, only 5-6 people claimed refund
  • Book: The Craft of Selling “YOURSELF”: Nobody claimed refund
  • E-book: Guerrilla Job Hunting Tactics for Dubai: Nobody claimed refund
  • Purple Arrow Coaching: We coached more than 50 individuals and nobody claimed refund

The learning will continue in 2018. Team Ashraf Chaudhry wishes you a rocking success in 2018 and beyond.
